58 minutes. The kind of time between a pet getting out and coming home — when the system works.

How it works

Three moments. One reunion.

STEP 01

A stranger finds your pet

They tap the tag with any phone, or scan the QR. No app required, no account, no setup on their end.

STEP 02

They know exactly what to do

Your pet's name, photo, and medical notes appear immediately. A call button routes through our relay — your number stays private.

STEP 03

You're already on your way

The instant the scan happens, we text you the location. Most owners know before the finder even says hello.

The two-sided moment

The finder sees your pet.
You see the finder.

One tap and the stranger has a name, a phone, medical notes. One second later, you have a location.

Smart tag vs microchip

A microchip is for the vet. This is for the stranger who finds them first.

A microchip is read at a shelter, days later, by a scanner most people don’t carry. A PawShield tag is read at the scene, minutes later, by the nearest phone. They solve different moments. Most owners should have both.

Smart tag vs GPS tracker

An AirTag is for you. PawShield is for whoever finds them.

Questions

Four things people ask, answered honestly.

  • The QR can also be tapped as an NFC tag — the pet's profile is cached on the finder's device for 24 hours after the first scan. A brief moment of signal is enough.

  • We replace it free, forever. Your PST-ID transfers to the new tag — no re-setup, no lost profile. Email a photo of the old tag and we ship a new one within 24 hours.

  • Finders never see your name, address, or phone number. They see your pet's photo and medical notes, plus a 'call' button that routes through our relay — so your number is never exposed, even to the person holding your pet.

  • The dog disc weighs 2.8 grams — about half a penny. The silicone charm is silent (no jingle). All tags are waterproof to IP67 and drop-tested to survive a 6-foot fall onto concrete.
